I don't feel that inspiration truly comes from the artist. When you're ready, I feel that inspiration comes through you. You have the opportunity to mark its presence to the best of your ability. Or more accurately it's like a wave that rises from the quantum sea of infinite possibility. If you're lucky enough & if you're skillful enough you can surf it, & who knows how exhilarating the ride will be. Maybe you can capture some kind of record of its passage with the camera of your mind, which is the one and only true creative tool. But you have to be humble before the wave. It's a great & sacred experience. That exact same wave will never happen again. The personal ego has no place in an experience like that.
